Background
Growing up between southeastern Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio, Brooke knew she wanted to be a storyteller from an early age after watching local news reports and seeing the lack of effective change for marginalized communities. Coming from an Appalachian family of color, she knew that she had to be a voice for the voiceless, deliver compelling stories, and spread awareness to bridge compassion among various communities and audiences.
